2027–28 FAFSA Now Open
The 2027–28 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is now open. Students planning to attend postsecondary education should complete the FAFSA as soon as possible to be considered for federal, state and institutional grants, scholarships, work-study opportunities and loans.

For North Carolina public high school seniors, FAFSA completion is an important next step after exploring NC College Connect, which provides eligible seniors with direct admission to colleges and universities where they already meet admissions requirements without the traditional application process. After reviewing and accepting their college offers, students should consider exploring the FAFSA to learn what financial assistance may be available to help make college more affordable.

Our cross country teams traveled to Randleman for the Randolph County Championship Meet on Tuesday and nearly brought home a double championship with our girls finishing 2nd in the county, 5 points behind Randleman, while our boys won first-place, defeating 2nd-place Trinity by 50 points!

Notable accomplishments: Our boys took 5 of the top 10 places in their race. Several Wheatmore runners out sprinted their competition, most memorable of these was Scarlett closing a 15-meter gap to take second place from a Randleman runner. Teagan was our only runner to set a PR! Daylan and Scarlett earned plaques for their 2nd place finishes. Ayden is the conference champion boy and also earned a plaque for his 1st place finish. Both teams brought home trophies for their team finishes.

Our next contest will be at West Davidson on 10/6.

Attention High School Seniors - college admission made simple!

Students will return in one week!
We welcome teachers back tomorrow! It's going to be a great year!

This school year, students in all 17 elementary schools, all 6 middle schools and Eastern Randolph High School will be provided meals at no cost through the Community Eligibility Program. No free or reduced-price meal application is required for students attending these schools.

Meal prices for non-Community Eligibility schools, which includes all other high schools, are $1.25 for breakfast and $2.45 for lunch. If you believe your family would qualify for a reduced-price meal benefit, apply online at www.lunchapplication.com

If your family received a notification letter stating that all of your students are approved for meal benefits for the 2026-2027 school year, no application is required to be completed. Contact School Nutrition Services if any of your student's names are not listed on the letter.
